Wait 1 week: Wait one week, then repeat the home pregnancy test again. If it's still negative, see your doctor.

Is this typical? : A delayed period is very common. My first question for patients is to find out if this is typical or not. If they normally have regular cycles and one is late then it's not a big deal and usually resolves itself over the next few months. If the patient typically has irregular periods than they should be evaluated to determine the cause.
