How painful will the egg retrieval process be?

Not very: We use IV sedation for our ivf egg collections and most patients have no recollection at all of the process. In the past year a couple of patients undergoing natural cycle ivf (one egg, no stimulation drugs) have asked for the egg collection to be done without any medication at all. Not my first choice...But they did very well. Good luck.
