Chip fracture(Minor): We some treat with a cast for three weeks or cam boat also for three weeks.

Not severe: If the pain at the ankle resolved in 3 weeks of casting, and there was no other treatment needed, then it could not have been a 'severe' fracture. Also, the position of the fracture was probably good and showed sign of healing in 3 weeks, enough so that the doxctor did not think it necessary to put on another cast. Good prognosis.
