Dislocated hip: If it is a tha or a significant trauma, reduce it usually in the or setting. If it is chronically dislocated, such as ddh or neuromuscular disorders, need to check with orthopedic surgeon with imaging and good history and exam.

Reduce: Closed reduction under some form of anesthesia is the most common procedure. If the hip can not be successfully reduced closed, than an incision may need to be made which would then be known as a open reduction.
