Chronic pain: Behavioral medicine has been shown repeatedly to help people who have chronic pain. Some methods include visualization therapy, relaxation therapy, biofeedback and something called cognitive restructuring which seeks to alter some fixed beliefs about chronic pain. It is unfortunate that it is not used more. It takes a while to learn and sometimes insurance companies will not cover it
