Behavioral Medicine: Behavioral medicine is often associated with psychological issues but it can be utilized for any health condition or, even better, to maintain wellness. Such interventions can include stress management, clinical hypnosis, creating a schedule for food intake, exercise, etc. A clinical health psychologist can help you do that and his/her advice will be supported by research. The very best to you.

Some methods include visualization therapy, relaxation therapy, biofeedback and something called cognitive restructuring which seeks to alter some fixed beliefs about chronic pain. It is unfortunate that it is not used more. It takes a while to learn and sometimes insurance companies will not cover it
