What can we do to stop tinnitus getting worse?

See an ENT: I would not hesitate to get in to an ENT doctor. Treatment depends upon the symptoms, history and findings. I would assume that x-rays, possible cat scan and/or MRI may need to be done to give you a definitive answer as far as the prognosis. How long have you had the issue, is it in one or both ears, does it change with change in head position?
