Prescription paste: If you need more Fluoride then the regular toothpastes then you would need to see your dentist. Your dentist can write a prescription for or can provide you with a toothpaste that has up to 5000 ppm fluoride.

Dentist RX: Dentist prescribed Fluoride toothpaste has more Fluoride than over-the-counter brands. All over the counter brands have about the same 0.24% sodium flouride. Controlrx which i prescribe in extreme cases of decay and/or sensitivity contains 1.1% sodium fluoride.
