How do you keep ringworm from spreading?

"ringworm" is fungal: Infection of the skin that has the shape of a ring. If only 1 or 2 small patches, topical antifungals like Lamisil (terbinafine) can eradicate it, but takes couple weeks of treatment. Spray (lysol)/wash clothing/bedding/towels that come in contact with fungus. Check pets/other family members for lesions & treat. If large area involved, see fp for rx for oral medication.
