Due to nerves : The nerves to the vagina have a common tract as some of the nerves to the legs. In other words the nerves of the vagina come from the lower back (lumbar spine) and so do the nerves that go down the legs. Since they share this commonality sometimes you can get a feeling in a different place because of this shared phenomenon.
