Antiviral meds: Getting the Acyclovir early in the course may help but often does not stop the immune response causing the skin inflammation and pain. Once the inflammatory reaction is in full course the antiviral meds do you not much good. A full medical workup is important to rule out any systemic disease associated with a repeat outbreak of shingles.

Not typical: Shingles is usually unilateral, and the rash over the breasts does not seem to fit the severe neck pain issue. Cannot advise therapy, but suggest you have a full exam and appropriate testing.
