No dementia: Far too young for dementia, but if you were to have migraine headaches, you might experience transient auras of word-finding problems, or some transient confusion (dysphrenia hemicrania transitoria) meds such as topirimate or beta-blockers could also cause memory loss but this would be constant. Serious problem: The combination of memory loss, slurred speech and headaches is worrisome for real trouble such as a stroke, meningitis, brain hemorrhage, brain tumor or medication side effects. Any person with such symptoms needs to go to the er or see a physician immediately to evaluate for any serious brain disease.
