Fibromyalgia: The primary treatment for treating fibromyalgia is go to a knowledgeable doctor who can assess all the underlying causes of this disorder and repair these problems. There is no simple solution and never will be. Fibromyalgia is a constellation of underlying disorders that leads to this pain syndrome.

No first line: Although there is no "one best thing" for every person, here are some interventions that i use. Goals: improved sleep pattern, begin a gentle exercise program, review current dietary habits and change poor one, stop smoking, consider behavioral medicine approaches, yoga, use of certain medications and supplements and avoidance of narcotic medications which have been repeatedly shown not to work.

FDA meds: Orthodox medicine regards 3 FDA approved meds for FM. These non-opioid pain medications treat pain, but not cause of FM, which is officially "unknown". FM causality known associated w/ femaleness, obesity, disease-related prolonged inactivity, mechanical injuries, & hypermobility. Perhaps these factors, in varying combinations, are the true cause of FM.
