See your doctor: Women commonly are diagnosed with patellofemoral syndrome. It often improves with physical therapy and doing exercises to strengthen the muscles that support the knee on a regular basis. Some types of exercise (like running) can increase the pain. If you are not sure if the pain is related to the chronic knee condition or something new, in your groin, see your doctor and then get a pt referral.
