Unclear ?: Not sure what your question is exactly. Sounds like you have a torn, discoid lateral meniscus. Grade 2 signal in the medial meniscus means an abnormality that does not reach an articular surface and does not meet MRI criteria for a tear.

Discoid meniscus: Discoid meniscus is a developmental variant in which your meniscus (supporting cushion within the knee) is abnormally large and is predisposed to being torn. Meniscal tears may result in pain and joint locking, and may eventually lead to early osteoarthritis. You should discuss your options with an orthopedic surgeon.
