Metformin: Low glycemic diet; metformin 850 mg with each meal, provided that renal function is normal. Also, push aerobic exercise and weight loss as hard as you can.

It usually occurs in overweight women, and elevated Insulin and testosterone levels are often found. Treatment: weight loss is often helpful and can reverse the condition in some. Metformin or spironolactone can help restore periods. Ocps can regulate them.
