Arterial damage: Arterial damage that results from congenital disposition, renal failure, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and smoking. It's essentially a scar inside the artery that causes a narrowing or irregular deposit on the inside of the vessel wall that leads to diminished blood flow beyond this point.
