A member asked:

Why can't you have an adrenal gland transplant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good Question: It probably could be done, but would involve difficult microsurgery of the adrenal gland blood vessels. However, if the adrenal was transplanted from another individual who was not an identical twin, you would need to take powerful anti-rejection drugs. The indication would be for addison's disease, which can usually be treated with other replacement oral steroids.
