3 options: Toenail fungus can be treated with topicals (are least effective), oral meds like lamisil, (terbinafine) and laser. Oral Lamisil (terbinafine) can interfere with other meds and you must have bloodwork to make sure your liver is healthy. Laser is effective without side effects. The problem can recur no matter how it is treated so discuss prevention (and treatment) with your podiatrist or dermatologist.

Many things: There are many over the counter products that you can get the pharmacy. There are also prescription oral medications. There is laser treatment, there is surgical removal of the toenail.

Many options: There are many treatments available. Topical and oral medications can be used but must be used as prescribed to have any success. Laser treatment is also available and can be effective. That being said, the older we are the more difficult it is to get rid of it. One must be very patient regardless of the treatment. Curing nail fungus is a slow process that takes months to even over a year.
