Yes : As a surgeon, i always want to know when my surgical patients have a fever especially if it is over 101. It is better to be safe than sorry as a fever could mean you have an infection which is more easily treated if caught early. Let your surgeon know.

Yes.: Any time you have a fever after surgery, you should let your doctor know. There are many reasons for a fever, including after effects of general anesthesia, reaction to medications, or infection. Some can be serious, so you need to alert your surgeon or doctor as soon as possible.
