See a dermatologist: Warts generally don't itch, or have a clear liquid in them. This is something else. Acute fungal (tinea) skin infections can present this way, but don't occur real often on the hands (although it is possible). I suppose you could try an athlete's foot cream such as lotrimin (clotrimazole) ultra, but if it doesn't get better within a week, it's not fungal and you should to see a doctor.
