Probably not: Green tea is a herbal anti inflammatory but probably won't do much for gingivitis. There is usually a cause for gingivitis and until the cause is treated results probubaly won't be apparent.

Prevent NOT cure : Studies have shown that brushing with green tea may help prevent gingivitis but once the gums are infected, green tea will not cure the disease. Only visiting a dentist for a cleaning and proper home care hygiene will resolve this gum infection. Get treated soon because the infection may spread to the bone surrounding your teeth. This is called periodontal disease and can result in tooth loss.

No: No, drinking green tea will not cure gingivitis. If you are suffering with ginigivitis, please see the dentist and hygienist for a comprehensive oral exam and cleaning. The hygienist will remove all the plaque and calculus and advise you if you need a "deep cleaning, " which is removing calculus from deep pockets beside the teeth. Untreated gingivitis will lead to the more serious periodontitis.
