Carpal Tunnel Syndro: Most numbness in the hand is from pressure on the median nerve at the wrist causing carpal tunnel syndrome. Most patients will have intermittent numbness at first, often at night or while reading or driving. Other causes can be cubital tunnel syndrome, diabetic neuropathy or other forms of neuropathy.
