Mixed vein treatment: See a phlebologist to have a duplex ultrasound mapping to determine the cause of the varicosities. Then you have possible saphenous vein thermal ablation and/or phlebectomy for large veins. Smaller veins are treated with sclerotherapy injections with liquid or foamed solution. Compression stockings and walking are necessary for a brief time.

Combination approach: See a vein specialist/phlebologist. A venous ultrasound of your leg veins should be done to find the cause of your varicose veins and make a treatment recommendation. A treatment option that helps symptoms but doesn't make the veins go away is compression stockings. Other more definitive options include laser or radiofrequency ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, and/or sclerotherapy.

Several treatments: Varicose veins are due to leaking(refluxing) valves in the saphenous system and spider veins could be due to leaking valves or simply to aging, genetics or pregnancies. The treatment for each varies - laser closure and microphlebectomies for vv and sclerotherapy for spider veins. You should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation with a venous reflux ultrasound.
