Intense pulsed light: Intense pulsed light (photofacial) targets melanin pigment with green or yellow wavelengths. Of course, proper sunscreen protection spf 30 with uva coverage is primary. Lightening with arbutin (contains hydroquinone) interferes with melanin production and must be used carefully with pulsed supervised use. Have your physician rule out melasma if you are female, and wear a hat outdoors.
