Not usually related: Astigmastism usually applies to the shape or curvature of the front of the eye or cornea. It is usually correctable with glasses, contacts or refractive surgery. Glaucoma is a disease where there is damage to the nerve in the back of the eye. Occasionally, after glaucoma surgery, there may be increased astigmatism.

Can be: For example, after glaucoma surgery, some astigmatism can be induced by incisions in the cornea or sclera. But by itself, glaucoma does not typically cause astigmatism.

no: Astigmatism is the normal asymmetry of the cornea that most people have. It has no relationship to glaucoma.
