May be normal: This is a common story among women off hormone contraception like the pill. In any given month, 15% of women will have an abnormal cycle just due to hormonal imbalance etc. The hormone fluctuations for "normal" cycles are complicated, and if they are not in sync, the uterus will respond by spotting or bleeding.
