Common: Pertussis produces some long term issues with cough & if you are lucky it is picked up early. However, one old name for the disease is "the 100 days cough" and it can linger or occur long after the germ is gone. Antibiotics seldom change the progression of the cough but can eliminate the germs transfer to others.Consult with your pcp to see if they feel baby needs a re-check.
