Rule out meningitis: What kind of rash? If her neck is stiff, or the rash is palpable or bloody go to an emergency room immediately to rule out meningitis.

Depends on the...: Rash but the initial symptoms of measles before the rash begins are cough, runny nose and pink eye, not headache and sore throat.
