I've never been pregnant so its hard for me to distinguish signs and symptoms so could clear/whitish discharge be an early sign...not itching or burning?

Possibly: Pregnancy can cause a discharge, but it is unreliable as a definitive test. A home pregnancy test would be best at determining if you have conceived, as they are very accurate and can generally tell prior to a missed period. Take prenatal vitamins in any event.
