Mild-mod postop pain: Hip arthroscopy is usually outpatient, same-day surgery. If you have a torn labrum, your surgeon will either remove the non repairable torn portion or potentially repair the torn labrum with sutures and small permanent anchors place in the bone to hold it in place while you heal it over the ensuing 6- 8 weeks. Rehabilitation is usually recommended after surgery.

Hip arthroscopy: Soreness and tight feeling are to be expected. Low back pain and hip pain can be present. Physiotherapy is very important after surgery to help your recovery. At 4-5 months from surgery you may still feel sore after exercise but this is normal. As your body becomes stronger you will be able to do more and increase your activity.
