Unproven.: Curcumin may have activity against myeloma in experimental systems, but tests in humans are not convincing. For what it is worth, I have only 1 patient who told me he was trying curcumin for his myeloma. There was no benefit. Found in the spice tumeric, it does not appear to be toxic.

Research question: Curcumin -- & many other single molecules or "compounds" -- may have in vitro (test tube) activity & in vivo in animal models. This doesn't always correlate with activity in non-homogenized human beings. Curcumin in curry is too weak to obtain enough. Even purified curcumin needs a lot. Nano-ized curcumin more bioavailable. Interesting as a research question only for now.
