Is a microdiscectomy more likely to re-rupture the repair?

Microdiskectomy: Recurrence rates after diskectomy vary by the technique. I'm not sure what you want to compare microdiskectomy to (percutaneous procedure?), or are you asking about repeat diskectomy after repeat herniation at the same level? I assume you want to know if it is safe to have a second diskectomy at the same level (it is, albeit slighty more likely to have complications than the first time).
