A member asked:

Is there word of normocytic hypochromic anemia present if present how was it and what are the causes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Simple lab test: A CBC (complete blood count) can give you all the info you speak of. The causes are many. Mild/moderate iron deficiency, decreased red cell production from a variety of causes including renal failure and chronic inflammation. If there are other cell abnormalities, the problem could be in the bone marrow.
