Vascular Surgeon: Vascular physicians are mostly vascular surgeons, as traditionally most patients needed nothing or surgery. The risk factors are treated by the pmd and the surgeon encorages exercise, does angioplasty/stents or surgery etc. There are now some vascular medicine mds and cardiologists treating pad. Invasive radiologists and invasive cardiologists are also involved.
