Claritin, (loratadine) Allegra: Otc antihistamines that are non-sedating include Claritin or generic Loratadine at 5 or 10mg, Allegra or generic fexofenadine at 30, 60 or 180 mg. Sudafed or generic Pseudoephedrine has no sedation, but can cause irritability, jitteriness, affect sleep if taken at bedtime, affect blood pressure. Nasal sprays do not have sedation, but decongestants like afrin or 4-way can cause rebound if overused.
