Anal fissures: Anal fissures are a tear, that scars and reopens with the passage of stool. After two years of non-healing, you should check in with your doc. If your constipation is under control, you may benefit from a surgical consult and procedure.

A 22-year-old male asked:
Is lancing the only way to truly get rid of a hemorid? How do you get rid of one inside the beginning of the anal canal?

No: First, reduce reasons hemorrhoids happen. Hard stool is # 1, so drink lots of fluids and fiber. Rectal suppositories with cortisone cream combined with witch hazel treatments and sitz baths will also get rid of them.

A 36-year-old male asked:
I have anal skintags. Im too shy and embarrassed to visit my doctor for that. Is there any alternative way of getting rid of them?

Don't be embarrassed: Doctors see this all the time and often things much much worse. Would suggest you see a dermatologist if they are only skintags or see your internist or a colon/rectal surgeon if they are bothering you and you want them removed.
