See your doctor!: Left testicular pain/swelling could mean testicular torsion, where blood supply is cut off from testis. The on/off nature is because the testis can twist and untwist. You could lose a testis from this so please see your doctor, or urologist. Do you have an inguinal hernia? Your testis wouldn't swell from that, but your scrotum would. Whatever this is, you need medical attention. Sooner is better.
