ONCE IN THE BEGINNIN: You do not need periodic blood tests if you are being treated for high blood pressure, unless some abnormality was found on the initial exam blood test should be done at the initial visit and needs to be repeated only if you are being treated with diuretics and we need to check your potassium level, otherwise once a year may be all you need.
