Unusual: Losing it for a "split second" is unusual. I would recommend you see an opthalmologist.

Amarousis: Possibly a blocked neck artery that is causing intermittent blood flow loss to the eye. This could be happening in to the brain as well putting you at risk for a stroke. You need your carotid artery evaluated
