Have a warm drink: Take a warm drink that would loosen the gum if it still there and take it down with it. Swallowing chewing gum, while not recommended, is not likely to cause any harm.

Not likely: A healthy 23 yo is not one to suffer "silent aspiration". The back of your throat is sensitive and you may feel " something is stuck" thou it is clear. Take small sips of lukewarm water a few times, if you can get the warm liquid down okay - you are likely okay.
