Worsening may or: May not be the reason, even with pain. A baseline comparison before and after complaint of pain will be helpful. Visual and imaging studies can determine anatomic worsening. But, even in the absence of any anatomic change, a new complaint of pain is suggestive of "worsening".

Possible. : Causes of chest pain in someone with a moderate pectus are multifactorial. I would suggest follow-up with a thoracic surgeon to evaluate the extent of the defect, and indications for an operation.

Possibly: If the diagnosis of "moderate" pectus excavatum was made without imaging, get a chest x-ray or CT to quantify your Haller index. This is the ratio used to determine severity. Pain is a common symptom of PE, and yours could be worsening. If it is worsening, treatment options would include surgical repair or non-operative therapy with a vacuum bell.
