Prob irreg period: Sounds like an irregular period. Brown usually means old blood that has been sitting at the back of the vagina. If this is not typical for you then track your cycles for the next few months to see if they normalize. Often things get back to normal the next cycle.

Possible pregnancy: Can possibly be caused by pregnancy, infection or stress, can be some other reasons, did you recently loose or gain a lot of weight, are you on any medications? In any case you need to get checked by your doctor, something like that is hard to diagnose without physical exam and/ or some testing.
