Likely ovulation : Bleeding. The timing, that is mid cycle, is because of the relationship with the process of ovulation that usually occurs about that time. That is why it is often called ovulation bleeding, and it occurs in about 30% of women. It is not a disease and generally does not require treatment. It usually occurs about 10 to 16 days after the last day of menses and can last from 12 hours to three days.
