PID is systemic ...: The result of an ascending pelvic infection. If your cultures are negative and nothing shows up on microscopic exam of swab, unlikely you have std. You coul have bacterial vaginosis, but your doc should have seen that on your slide. Pid-pelvic pain, high WBC count, fever, increased pain on cervical palpatiion during biannual exam.
