How do u tell if cervix are open or closed?

Examination: It's hard to know for sure without having a manual exam done. Fluid, discharge, or bleeding is an unreliable indicator. For a manual exam, the practitioner (nurse or physician) will use a sterile gloved hand to measure the opening of the cervix with their fingers.
