Covered: Covering it is all you need to do. Make sure you take all the antibiotics. Keep yourself isolated x 24-36 hours until the bacteria load drops and or die away. Keep your hands and fingernails cleaned/scrubbed too.

Not necessarily: Impetigo is a skin infection, usually from strep. Treatment can include a topical antibiotic ointment, but usually it is treated with an antibiotic by mouth. Keep the wound clean, and if is oozing, keep it covered with a dressing.
