Mania?: Manic-depressive disorder or bipolar disorder occurs when someone has an unstable mood, that is they can be very low and depressed or very high and excited at different times. When someone is manic, they are in the very high, excited, energized state they are over active, difficult to calm down, sleep little, and can show reckless behavior like overspending or buying expensive items on impulse.
