Depends : On the type of injury. Plantar fasciitis can become so severe that any weight-bearing inflames the area and continues the process. Then only staying off the foot will allow healing to occur. See you orthopedist or podiatrist for further care and instructions.

Most likely: It of course depends on the type/degree of injury but it is more common than not to fully recover from a foot injury as there are multiple ways to offload the foot while it heals. It is important to follow-up closely with your podiatrist or orthopedist for proper diagnosis and treatment (including possible physical therapy).
