Different areas: Cts is a median nerve compression at the wrist associated with repetitive flexion/extension of the wrist. However, trigger fingers can be due to wear and tear, and de Quervain's tenosynovitis can afflict the dorsum of the thumb into the wrist. All can be cumulative trauma disorders.

Similar: There are similarities in the way it will present, however carpal tunnel syndrome may also include numbness and tingling, along with pain that wakes you up at night.
